2010/01/28 - Flooding in Peru - Cusco/Oropesa Disaster!!!

The Cusco and outlying areas, including Oropesa, have been inundated with rainfall for the past week causing massive flooding and destruction. Currently all of the boys at Azul Wasi have been safely evacuated to Cusco and cared for properly. This disaster is affecting the entire region, and the limited resources of Azul Wasi is stretched as prices rise due to the isolation caused by the loss of bridges and major roads. Currently temporary housing and food is being provided by Connecting Borders, LAFF. the Pountain Family, and many others.
